    Description

    War Relic U.S. Navy Quartermaster's Spyglass Battlefield Used Keuffel & Esser Co. Used by Capt. Starke.  Pulled from an estate of a ww2 veteran pilot and a career serviceman, he was stationed overseas and served as a pilot, ham tower operator and other positions.
    Provenance and Origin.
    This came from the Estate of George Schneider call sign “W1IWA”

    George Schneider was raised in Tyrone, PA. Upon graduation from Tyrone High School in September 1943, George enlisted in the US Air Force Aviation Cadet Program, US Armed Forces. He attended flight school and was stationed in Bremen, Germany in 1944 as a control tower radio operator.  George retired from the US Army Natick R&D Command in 1985 after an illustrious 42 year career, having served as Protocol Officer for 16 Commanders.
