Small Schwinn Z177 polished chrome bathroom hook with hidden installation screw for a beautiful finished look. Dimensions: 1-1/8 inch height x 7/8 inch width x 1-1/8 inch projection from mounting surface. Install using one screw through the front, then snap-on decorative cover plate to hide the screw head.

Schwinn uses a unique metal - Zamak - as the base material for most of its hardware. Zamak was developed in the United States in 1929 as a better material than zinc, which itself is a brittle, low strength, and low hardness metal. The name Zamak itself is an acronym of the German words for the metals Zink (zinc), aluminum, Magnesium and Kupfer (copper). Today there are several different Zamak alloys. Schwinn hardware is made uses a grade of Zamak which has 1% copper added to make it even stronger and harder than other Zamak grades.
