Luftprufer. Vintage German Air Gauge. So, here we go. I cannot find any information on this. I got it in a box of military items that heavily featured The First World War. That being said, I have no idea what it was used for other than "air gauge". The body and shaft are glass, all the markings appear to be hand etched. That includes "D.R.P 44822". Which would be the patent number at the Deutches Reichtspatent. It measures 9 inches from the top of the stem to the base and is just over an inch wide. The case is wood with a paper label that is mostly gone. I have spent a lot of time looking but I cannot find any more info on it. The case is 9.5 inches by 1.75 inches.
