This is a truly unique product. It is a T square on steroids....IN A GOOD WAY!! It does everything that a normal T square would do and sooooo much more. It makes hanging a picture and easy task. It includes several vials to level you picture and it includes 'nail markers' to eliminate the need to measure distances between mounting points.

I have used a different 48 in. square for a long time, but I was really happy to switch to this one. The handles of this knife guide are really nice and I feel like they keep my hands out of the way. This guide is also great for measuring things while they are up on the wall (and it helps to have the level for those situations as well). I feel that my cuts overall are straighter and more square because of this new system.

I think a product development engineer worked side-by-side with a group of 'users' to design this cutting guide system. What an excellent product for marking, cutting, installing anything that hangs on a wall like mirrors, pictures, shelves and so on. The variety of guides make it easy to find the center and transfer mounting hole locations for pictures, mirrors & shelves. The cutting guides are great for accurately completing art projects & drywall cutting. Some of the features are the T-square head can be mounted flat on the surface of materials or set below the surface with a handy lip that keeps the T-square in place. The head has a storage compartment for a knife, marker, or whatever and a magnetic strip to hold nails etc. The hole that it locks into when not in use is a great way to hang the system on the wall in my workshop so that I don't have to lean it up against something for storage. Everything fits into grooves on the aluminum guide which makes storage a pleasure and facilitates the use of the many guides, levels, and handle. The handle slides in the grooves of the aluminum guide but when you squeeze it, the handle locks in place making it easy to hold against a wall, level a picture or shelf. It even has a set of holes that will hold a pencil for you. The guide has a series of pictures engraved on the top to show how each of the guides are used but even better is the video on the Kapro website which makes it clear how to get the most out of this useful tool. I spent about an hour on the Kapro website looking at all the innovative tools and videos. Too bad they didn't include an instruction sheet or booklet with this tool but the video takes care of this minor shortcoming. This is a very well thought out tool that I will get a lot of use out of. Highly recommended!!
