Garceau Clinical Dermohmeter Vintage Antique Lie Detector Polygraph. Condition is "Used".  The Garceau Clinical Dermohmeter was manufactured by Electro-Medical Laboratory Inc., in South Woodstock, Vermont.  There is a number 2 stamped in the lip of the box and on the lid (shown in photos) that may, or may not, be a serial number.  Included is a photocopy of an ad stating:
For clinical and experimental investigation of disorders involving sympathetic reaction, such as pain reflexes.  In the psychological laboratory, the instrument has a well-known application as a so-called "lie-detector".  Resistance is read directly from a calibrated dial.  Small variations, greatly magnified, are shown on the meter.  Battery operated.  Price ...

This is a beautiful instrument that I have had for several years.

This is the only Garceau that I have ever come across and I have been collecting lie detection instruments for a very long time.
I have had several questions in the past about the serviceability of these older instruments. This instrument is likely from the late 1950’s or 60's.  This is being sold only as a collectible or as a movie / TV prop.  Generally considered to be outdated based on the professional standards these days.  Please see photos for description and feel free to ask questions.
