Description
Here we have up for sale an ORIGINAL, circa 1900-1915 Ross of London, telescope. This is a very well made instrument and is also made of heavy brass. This must be a military telescope as it has cross hairs and it just looks like something that has been to war....lol. Serial number is 38688 and there is what looks like a NLP 24 mark. This comes in an original dove-tail box that shows serious signs of use, but is solid with hinges and clasps intact (please see pics). Telescope measures 24" fully extended. I at first thought that there was chipping/cracking in the outer edge of the large exit lense (1 o'clock in the pic). Upon closer examination it is just scratching. When you look through the telescope, it has super clear optics and you do not see that edge scratching. The view shows two pepper size specs and the cross hairs are perfect. This has a side lens/gizmo attached with a chain. It will turn in the hole about a half turn and stays in place, but I am afraid to push harder and turn it more as I do not want to strip it. What you see is what you get and this has not been cleaned or altered. Buyer agrees to pay .95 for help with S & H. International is much higher. Thanks for viewing....Triple K
