APARTHEID SOUTH AFRICA. The group collected
petitions from 2,000
students, held hunger strikes,
and many were
arrested while demanding that
Boston University
divest their pension holdings in
the apartheid government of South Africa.
NELSON MANDELA visited BU in 1990 to honor
the Boston University Students efforts.
