  • Condition: Heavy made Brass tubes 44 ozs. Osborne day/night London written in SCRIPT on pull tube. Each of the two section is 18" long a ONE pull design. Both brass tabs missing at ocular and diopter ends. Various dents in the brass tube, does not effect use. Like ALL one pulls, it hass brass thread stripping so you have too make sure in properly seated before pulling out 17.5" to focus. Optics are three element design one mid tube two on ends. Historical Provenance is unknown, internet data confirms its original to period War of 1812 timeline. Take the time to read the links i am including as i do my homework first before listing. I cleaned the optics its useable to its design and very good for it day.

    MECHANICALLY:  Dinged and dents, Like all ONE pull's the inertia of pulling damages the fine Brass threads and unseats them. So you need to seat the flange properly then pull back slowly till focused.  Dings can be repaired out, New leather can be placed around the tube.
    OPTICALLY: Clear optics, Uncoated Optics, 3 element design known in this time period.  Historical item, NOT a fake, the real McCoy!
