Description
IMPORTANT: I just had a purchaser of this item email me to mention that in doing some research he has found that this artist has his work displayed in the Hammer Art Museum in LA and also has an exhibit in the Smithsonian. This paper poster is 100% original (I obtained a few of them personally during the 1968) campaign.
The poster is quite large--about 23 x 36" in size.
It was obtained them during the campaign at the East San Jose, Calif. Humphrey headquarters. Features Nixon, of course, enjoying grapes while stomping on what appears to be farm workers. Might mention I have a smaller page just like this which indicates it was put out by Mexican American Political Assn., Abe Tapia, Pres. & Farm Workers Political Education Comm., Cesar Chavez, Chmn.
I recently learned the artwork was done by a well known artist by the name of Andy Zermeno.
IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT THIS JULY LISTING: I just found a few that are near excellent--if they are sold I will go into detail as to the flaws etc. in new listing of item......As mentioned above-- some show some age and storage wear. We have a few of these and will pick the best I have until all are sold. They are all presentable, however, not near perfect.
IMPORTANT: Because of size we will send the item gently rolled up and placed inside a very sturdy commercial type mailing tube. It will be sent by Priority Mail which includes insurance etc.
