Up for sale is an original brochure that was put out by the Berkeley Defense Committee in 1968
to Defend the three University of California at Berkeley students that were arrested and expelled
from school for their role in the October 22, 1968 student action where 122 students sat in at
Sproul Hall on Campus. They were protesting the refusal of the administration to grant credit for the
student initiated and faculty approved course on racism with guest lectures given by
Black Panther Party leader Eldridge Cleaver.
This brochures was distributed to rally support for these three students.
The brochure is two sides on a 8 1/2" 11" sheet of paper.
