    Description

This wonderful miniature NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN BLANKET Tobacco Felt, was issued by the American Tobacco Company as a Premium in their brands of Cigarettes and Tobacco during 1908 (Piedmont  Fatima Nebo Zira Old Mill Turkey Red Ect.) . It  measures  8 1/4 x 5 inches approximately.  It is listed as B12 type 2  in Burdick’s American Card Catalogue which he has entitled “Scenes, Plaid Design on Backs”.  Each one features a different native American scenes done in a very stylized (almost abstract) graphic form.  This series also features plaid prints on the back of the felts (most felts were issued with blank backs), making these fairly unusual and scarce.  Also unique to these is the fact that the long edge borders on these series were cut in a jagged form.  Again unique to this series.   People used to collect these colorful Blankets and use them in Wall Hangings, Quilts, and other Decorative projects.  This one has never been stitched sew or washed.   There is minimal border fraying (rare with any silk or felt) and the colors are quite strong. I think it displays very well and would look fantastic framed.  I have scanned the felt both front and back,  fairly large for you to judge condition for yourself.  This OVER 110 year old collectable would make an excellent display piece or addition to any Person interested in Native Arts or Western Memorabilia.  Being over 100 years old it is an official American Antique piece.)
I currently have several more from this series listed on ebay
    .
I  will be trying to list several  EARLY TRADE & TYPE CARDS over the next few days (spread across different categories),

I am actually located in Canada just across the border.  I have a U.S.A. mailing address, and I mail my items from the USA to avoid border delays.
Due to my work schedule and distance to the post office I am only able to ship  Monday Mornings
.  If I haven’t received payment for an item the EVENING BEFORE Monday  the item will have to wait until the next Monday  to go out. Its unfortunate but unavoidable.  If this doesn’t work for you I respectfully ask that you do not bid or buy. Thanks again.
I will COMBINE SHIPPING within Canada and the USA on items of similar size that are sold on the same day.
I am sorry but ebay's global shipping program does not allow combined shipping on International shipments.
